Kawrpuichhuah Land Port at a Glance
- Land Port Kawrpuichhuah is located in the Lunglei district of the state of Mizoram. Once developed, it will be the first Land Port in the state along the international border between India and Bangladesh.
- Once developed, Land Port Kawrpuichhuah has the potential to become a major trade corridor between India & Bangladesh and other South Asian countries
- Around 70 acres of land has been identified by LPAI and same has been communicated to the State Government of Mizoram. In December 2020, the State Government of Mizoram transferred 21.4 acres of land to LPAI.
- The status as of September 2021 is that Architect Consultant for preparation of DER, Master Planning of Land Port Sabroom has already been appointed. The Consultant has already submitted the first concept plan for Land Port Kawrpuichhuah. Tender action has been initiated for pre-construction activities.
