ICP Hili at a Glance

  • ICP Hili is located in the Dakshin Dinajpur district of West Bengal along the international border between India and Bangladesh.
  • The major commodities exported via LCS Hili are onion, wheat, M.O. cake, N.B. rice and maize. The major commodities imported are P. cerates, S.C. molasses, C.R.B. oil, non-edible sugarcane molasses.
  • ICP Hili is located in close proximity of National Highway (NH)- 512 which is approx. 4 kms away. While the nearest railway station is located at Balurghat, a new railway line is also proposed to connect the station to Hili.
  • The status as of September 2021 is that LPAI has prepared the Detailed Project Report and has identified 80 acres of land for development of the ICP. The State Government of West Bengal has been requested for initiating the process of Land Acquisition.
